Apple TV+’s ‘Bad Sisters’ Unveils Season Two Premiere Date

Earlier today, Apple TV+ announced its hit dark murder mystery series, Bad Sisters, will premiere its second season on November 13, 2024. According to Deadline, Apple TV+ will release two episodes on the release date, with one additional episode every Wednesday till December 25, exclusively on AppleTV+. 

In addition, the streaming company released a first-look photo (see above) of the five Garvey sisters sitting at a table. Sharon Horgan (Military Wives) as Eva, Anne-Marie Duff (The Virgin Queen) as Grace, Eva Birthistle (Wake Wood) as Ursula, Sarah Greene (The Guard) as Bibi and Eve Hewson (Behind Her Eyes) as Becka.

According to EW, many of the supporting cast members will be returning for the second season, like Daryl McCormack (The Lesson) as Becka’s lover Matt Claffin, Barry Ward (Dating Amber) as Inspector Fergul Loftus, Michael Smiley (Madame) as Roger Muldoon, Grace’s next door neighbor, Saise Quinn (Monster) as Grace’s daughter Blanaid, Yasmine Akram (Gold Digger) as Bibi’s wife Nora, Jonjo O’Neil (The Queen’s Gambit) as Ursula’s husband Donal Flynn and Peter Cliffey (A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight) as Becka’s ex Callum.

Moreover, EW lists new actors/actresses joining the cast for the first time. These include Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve, Harry Potter), Owen McDonnell (True Detective: Night Country), Thaddea Graham (Sex Education, Doctor Who), Deirdre Mullins (Mandrake), Lorcan Cranitch (The Crown), Liz Fitzgibbon (Normal People) and Justine Mitchell (Amber, Derry Girls).

According to Deadline, shortly after the first season of Bad Sisters, the drama was awarded the BAFTA Television Awards for Best Drama, BAFTA Best Supporting Win for Duff, a Peabody Award, four Emmy Award nominations and many others.

The synopsis of Bad Sisters is as follows:

“The tight-knit Garvey sisters have always looked out for each other. When their brother-in-law winds up dead, his life insurers launch an investigation to prove malicious intent—and set their sights on the sisters, all of whom had ample reason to kill him.”
