Apple TV has released a trailer for their forthcoming Dickinson series. Dickinson is a half hour comedy series that will stream exclusively on Apple TV this Fall. The series is described as a coming of age story from the point of view of Emily Dickinson. The series will explore the constraints of gender, society, and family from the famous writer’s perspective. The hope is that millennials can relate to the fictionalized Dickinson even though she lives in the 19th century. The trailer shows some of Dickinson’s rebellious spirit as she disobeys her parents to the words of her famous poem, “Wild Nights.” Dickinson will headline the 3rd annual Tribeca TV Festival on Saturday, September 14.
