Apple TV Posts Second Season Trailer For Emmy Award-Winning Series ‘Drops of God’

Today, the second season of Drops of God released a trailer for Apple TV’s French-Japanese drama. The series follows the world of fine wines and gastronomy inspired by the New York Times bestselling Japanese manga series of the same name. Fleur Geffrier (Angel, Rivages) and Tomohisa Yamashita (See Hear Love, Kurosagi) return as Camille and Issei, two siblings attempting to run their father’s esteemed winery.

According to Apple TV, the second season synopsis reads as follows: “Camille and Issei are thrust into their most perilous challenge yet: to uncover the origin of the world’s greatest wine, a mystery so profound that even their legendary father, Alexandre Léger, could not solve it. What begins as a pursuit of legacy, becomes a search for truth that spans continents and centuries, unearthing forgotten histories, hidden rivalries and secrets buried for generations. As the search pushes them to the edges of the world, and to the darkest corners of themselves, Camille and Issei must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice. The answer could shatter their bond as siblings … or destroy them both.”

Since being released around the world, the series has received high acclaim from critics and fans alike. The show received a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it Certified Fresh. The series is produced by Legendary Entertainment and Les Productions in association with 22H22 and Adline Entertainment. The producer is Klaus Zimmerman (100 Code, Trapped) and directed by Oded Ruskin (Absentia, Paris Has Fallen). 

The original Drops of God manga series was created by Tadashi Agi (Debusen, The Files of Young Kindaichi Neo) with artwork by Shu Okimoto (Kami no shizuku) and published by Kodansha Ltd. Founded in 1909, Kodansha Ltd. has created some globally recognized IP, including Akira, Attack on Titan, and The Ghost in the Shell.

Season two of Drops of God premieres January 21, 2026 on Apple TV and continues weekly until March 11 2026.
