

On January eighth, a second season of “Drops of God” is announced through Apple TV of the French-Japanese drama. The series is all about wine and dines and has won International Emmy Award for Best Drama by the New York Times. The series is based on a hidden gem manga.

Apple TV unveils that Fleur Geffrier (Angel, Rivages) plays Camille and Tomohisa Yamashita (See Hear Love, Kurosagi) who plays Issei who are siblings that must uncover their biggest challenge yet, the world’s best wine. Something that even their father, the best wine taster could not find or taste, so the siblings made it their mission to take over. The second season covers legacy, truth that has them travel and covers the world, histories, and secrets that were buried for generations. The two leads must decide how far they are willing to go to both they shatter their bond as siblings or themselves.
Since being released around the world, critics and fans alike have given it a really high score of 90% to 100. Even Rotten Tomatoes gave it a high rating. They call the series a hidden gem and love how close it is to the Japanese manga series. Many fans are happy they tried it out and want more of it, hoping for more seasons.
Season two of “Drops of God” premieres January 21, 2026 on Apple TV and continues weekly until March 26th 2026.
