According to Deadline, Apple and NBCUniversal have joined forces to launch a new streaming bundle that combines Apple TV and Peacock starting at $14.99 per month. The new offer, available beginning monday, gives subscribers more than 30 percent savings compared to purchasing both services separately.
Deadline reports that the package includes Apple TV which remains ad-free and two tiers of Peacock: the ad-supported Peacock Premium and the ad-free Peacock premium plus, which costs $19.99 monthly. This partnership marks one of the few cross-company bundles in the streaming landscape and provides viewers access to a wide range of original programming such as Silo, Foundation, and Slow Horses (starring Gary Oldman, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).
As noted by Deadline, NBCUniversal is launching the venture immediately before the NBA season, with exclusive games available to stream on Peacock as part of a long-term broadcast rights deal. The company recently expanded its distribution network through partnerships with Amazon and Google/YouTube, solidifying Peacock’s presence on major platforms.
Deadline notes that for Apple, the partnership follows the tech company’s decision to drop the “Plus” from the Apple TV+ name. This bundle also represents the first time Apple has allowed discounts for its Apple One subscriptions, which include Apple Music and iCloud. While Apple TV had been included in other joint offers like Comcast’s StreamSaver package, discounted Apple One pricing had never previously been available.
According to Deadline, the collaboration aims to make streaming simpler for consumers navigating an increasingly fragmented market. Both companies are integrating select programming across platforms, giving Peacock subscribers complimentary access to the first three episodes of Stick, Slow Horses, The Buccaneers, Palm Royale (featuring Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids), and Prehistoric Planet via the Apple TV app. In return, Apple TV users will be able to stream episodes of Law & Order, Bel-Air, Twisted Metal, and Love Island Games through Peacock.
Deadline reports that Matt Strauss, Chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, said, “There is no more perfect combination of entertainment than the Apple TV and Peacock bundle, with our complementary content portfolios featuring the best shows, movies, sports, and live events.” Strauss added that the initiative redefines how viewers experience bundled streaming with “a smooth sign-up process and expanded reach.”
According to Deadline, Oliver Schusser, Apple’s Vice President of Apple TV, Apple Music, Sports, and Beats, praised the collaboration as one that “unites the best of entertainment in a simple and seamless experience.”
Deadline adds that streaming bundles are becoming more frequent as major studios look for new methods to attract consumers. In 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney launched a combination package that included HBO Max, Disney+, and Hulu, creating a precedent that Apple and NBCUniversal look eager to emulate with this latest deal.
