After The Big Door Prize starring Chris O’Dowd (State of the Union) premiered on March 29 on Apple Tv+, the network has already renewed it for a second season. O’Dowd leads a cast that also includes Gabrielle Dennis (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Ally Maki (Home Sweet Home Alone), Josh Segarra (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), Damon Gupton (Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead), Crystal Fox (The Haves and the Have Nots), Djouliet Amara (Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between), and Sammy Fourlas (The Big Door Prize), via The Hollywood Reporter.
The comedy series based on the book of the same title by M.O. Walsh is about a small town that is forever changed when a mysterious machine appears and seeks out to reveal everyone’s truest potential. Its first three episodes debuted on the streaming platform on March 29. The first season will have a total of ten episodes and will debut new installments every Wednesday for the rest of its run.

The show is produced by Skydance Television and CJ ENM/Studio Dragon, Read serves as showrunner and exec produces alongside David Ellison (Top Gun: Maverick), the CEO of Skydance Media and American comedian Dana Goldberg (Out in Left Field), Miky Lee (Parasite), Young Kyu Kim (Mr.Sunshine), Hyun Park (Memory), Bill Bost (World War Z) and Sarah Walker (Silicon Valley).
