The popular series from writer Dan Erikson (The Outsider) and director Ben Stiller (Escape at Dannemora) returns on January 17. After almost three years, the wait is finally over, as reported by “Severance’ Season 2: Watch First Eight Minutes on Apple Tv.

Nearly a month before its official premiere, Apple TV+ released the first eight minutes of Severance Season 2, offering fans an early glimpse of the new season Via IndieWire.

Season 1 of Severance ended with Adam Scott (Big Little Lies, Parks and Recreation) as Mark, Britt Lower (Mythic Quest) as Helly, and John Turturro (The Plot Against America) as Irving stepping outside Lumon Industries.

With Zach Cherry (The Good Lord Bird) as Dylan overriding Lumon’s mind control, the trio began to unravel mysteries, such as Irving’s connection with Christopher Walken (The Outlaws) as Burt and Mark’s discovery of his wife’s true identity via an article in IndieWire.

Season 2 picks up immediately after, focusing on Adam Scott (Big Little Lies, Parks and Recreation) as Mark’s Innie. His eyes open in the Lumon elevator, and he explores the eerily quiet severed floor (IndieWire).

Mark wanders the sterile hallways, noticing some new decor but no familiar faces. He eventually returns to Macro Data Refinement, where he finds three new coworkers and a young floor manager, Sarah Bock (The Morning Show, The Resident), as Miss Huang says the article in IndieWire.

After the cold open, Trammell Tillman (The Morning Show, Orange is the New Black) as Mr. Milchick tells Mark that his old MDR team became heroes, hailed for their role in Severance reform. Severance Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes, with the premiere episode streaming globally on Apple TV+ on January 17, 2025. New episodes will be available every Friday through March 21, 2025.
