The latest episode within FX”s sci fi series, Alien: Earth had broken cardinal rule familiar within the franchise. Comicbook reports, throughout the years, the xenomorph were the ultimate biological terror, making everything in its path feel for survival. We see that in the episode titled ‘Emergence’, a different side of the creature. The series has taken a slower pace, and viewers come to realize that Wendy, played by Sydney Chandler (Pistol, Sugar) made a mental connection with the creature which will not only impact her but every around her as well.
According to Comicbook, Wendy has decided that she is done being manipulated by Boy Kavalier, played by Samuel Blenkin (Mickey 17, The Witcher: Blood Origin) and the rest of the prodigy. She then decided to release the creature from its cell, in which it went on a rampage, killing many scientists and soldiers in the facility. This sudden action by Wendy signals a sign of no return for her as she and the xenomorph now act like a pet and its master. Many franchise fans were quite confused about the sudden change of the character and how it would be handled within the finale.
Stated by Comicbook, this is not the first time in the series that betrayal is represented as Slightly, played by Adarsh Gourav (The White Tiger, Hostel Daze), is tempted by Morrow, played by Jonathan Ajayi (Wonder Woman 1994, Chief of Station), in retrieving the specimen. In this episode, Wendy discovers that her brother, Joe, played by Alex Lawther (Ghost Stories, Andor), has dramatically changed from the events and now perceives the hybrid as less human.
