FX’s insanely popular series American Horror Story is slowly but surely giving its many fans little tidbits of what is to come in October. Pictured above is The Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive cast art for the fourth season of this anthology series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kathy Bates will play a bearded lady; Sarah Paulson, a two-headed woman. Additionally, Michael Chiklis will appear as the strong man in the circus. Jessica Lange will once again see the spotlight, as her role is that of ‘Elsa Mars’, a German woman who manages the freak show. To set the eerie scene, the series is set in 1950s Florida. According to the official description of the series, it will tell the tale of “the performers and their desperate journey of survival amid the dying world of the American carny experience”.
Perhaps this season will really be spookier than the last season, Coven. Although everyone still loves the series and will undoubtedly tune in starting October 8th at 10 p.m., some critics say the third season was not scary enough! One of the creators of the show, Ryan Murray, assures fans that this series will, in fact, be a lot darker than Coven. Judging from this cast art I would say that we are all in for a freakish surprise.
