AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 Trailer Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con

AMC’s The Walking Dead season 10 official trailer has debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con, according to Forbes. The new trailer depicts the Whisperer War and the battles within the group and the walkers on the beach as well as Rosita (Christian Serratos), who is taking care of her newborn baby. We can also see Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who is out of prison, has a new augmented hand and is fighting for Aaron (Ross Marquand). The trailer also shows Michonne brandishing Lucille, and Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) kissing.

In the trailer, the Whisperer War is set to devastate Michonne (Danai Gurira), Carol (Melissa McBride), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), and the other survivors that are in the Alexandria Safe-Zone. In this season, Samantha Morton returns as Alpha, while Ryan Hurst returns as Beta. They are the villains that have beheaded numerous Alexandrians and Hilltoppers in what could be seen as “the deadliest act of terror” in The Walking Dead since season seven.

“We’re getting into a whole different style of war than the last time we saw war on the show,” showrunner and executive producer Angela Kang said at Comic-Con. “The Whisperers are a very different type of enemy. We’ll see what it’s like to be in a Whisperer War.”

Creator Robert Kirkman said not to expect a surprising conclusion similar to the comic book, which ended without warning. “This show is about the world,” stated Kirkman. “We’ve proven that with this last season. Anyone concerned the comic wrapping up means we’ll spontaneously wrap up [the TV series] with season 10 episode four as a surprise? It’s not going to happen.”

Even though we do not see them in the new trailer, the cast also includes Thora Birch (American Beauty) who will play Gamma, a Whisperer who is very protective of Alpha and a strong believer of the Whisperer lifestyle; and Kevin Carroll (The Leftovers) who will play Virgil, a survivor who finds the main group and desperately wants to go back to his family.

The 10th season of The Walking Dead is set to premiere on October 6th.
