AMC’s long-running zombie apocalypse series, The Walking Dead, has released a minute-long trailer for the additional episodes for the expanded and extended tenth season, according to ComicBook. Due to the delay of the season ten finale premiere from COVID-19, the series announced that the show would also tack on six more episodes for the season with some new guest stars. The AMC original is based on the comic book series under the same name by Robert Kirkman (Ant-Man) and is currently overseen by executive producers Scott M. Gimple (FlashForward) and Angela Kang (Terriers).
The Walking Dead centers on a group of survivors navigating the difficult landscape in a Zombie Apocalypse while also fighting with other surviving groups. The series used to center around Rick Grimes, portrayed by Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually), before he made his exit in the ninth season. The series’ season ten finale premiered October 4, entitled “A Certain Doom.” The newest trailer depicts the characters of the series in compromising positions set right after the events that transpired in the finale episode.
Despite its commercial and critical success, The Walking Dead has recently been canceled by AMC prior to the airing of the final moments of season ten. The series will continue on with these six additional episodes and a 24-episode season for its eleventh and final installment.
The series cast includes the likes of Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Grey’s Anatomy), Melissa McBride (The Mist), and many more.
