AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ Sets Series Premiere Date

According to Deadline, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has set its series premiere on AMC and AMC+ for Sunday, September 10 at 9 PM. The series is the latest spinoff of The Walking Dead and stars Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints, Charmed) as Daryl Dixon.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon follows Daryl after he washes ashore in France and is struggling to figure out how and why he got there. He journeys across a broken yet resilient France as he hopes to find a way to get back home. However, throughout the journey he makes connections along the way that complicate his overall plan.

Along with Reedus, the series stars Adam Nagaitis (The Terror, Red Rose), Louis Puech Scigliuzzi (The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon), Eriq Ebouaney (Laison, River Hotel), Clémence Poésy (The Tunnel, Tenet), Anne Charrier (Chefs, Maison Close), and Laika Blanc Francard (My Night, Reign Supreme).

It is executive produced by Reedus, Daniel Percival (Strike Back, The Man in the High Castle), Brian Bockrath (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead), Greg Nicotero (Creepshow, Talking Dead), Angela Kang (The Walking Dead, Terriers), Scott M. Gimple (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead), and showrunner David Zabel (ER, Keith).

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is the sixth overall show based on The Walking Dead franchise and the fifth spinoff. The Walking Dead franchise is created by Tony Moore (The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Dead City), Charlie Adlard (Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: A Telltale Game Series), and Robert Kirkman (Outcast, Invincible).

The first season of the series will consist of six episodes with Zabel writing the first episode and co-writing the second with Jason Richman (Detroit 1-8-7, Bad Company). The third episode is written by Coline Abert (Interview with the Vampire, The Returned), the fourth is written by Shannon Goss (Outlander, Revenge), Richman and Zabel write the fifth episode, and the finale is co-written by Laura Snow (Ordinary Joe, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon) and Richman.
