“Good Man. Cop. Killer.” The first poster for AMC’s Low Winter Sun calls to mind the network’s most recent artwork for Breaking Bad, ominous words in large letters displayed over the series’ prominently featured antihero.
Mark Strong will be reprising his role as Detective Frank Agnew in the AMC show, which is based on the 2006 British miniseries. Set and filmed in Detroit, Low Winter Sun’s ten episodes tell the story of “a world where the line between cops and criminals is blurred.”
The series also stars James Ransone (Generation Kill), Lennie James (the Walking Dead) and Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Castle).
Low Winter Sun’s connection to Breaking Bad does not end with its poster, either: the show will debut August 11 at 10 PM, following the first of Breaking Bad’s final episodes.
