As reported recently on mxdwn, Amazon is releasing a second children’s show which is called Danger & Eggs. The show is about a girl and her best pal, a huge talking egg.
The creators of the show are Mike Owens and Shadi Petosky. Petosky, is actually one of the very few trans TV executive producers working in Hollywood. Her professional background also includes writing and being a director of animation. Petosky’s also worked on other popular children’s shows including Yo Gabba Gabba! and The Aquabats.
Petosky told The Advocate how she felt about Danger & Eggs coming to fruition. She stated “I wish I could say I’m just ‘so excited’ but feeling ALL of the feelings and trying to stay in the middle.” She went on to say “There is work to be done, so I have a compartmentalized focus happening but then there is intense gratitude for people that I haven’t had time to express so I am chipping away at that and little moments of ‘wow it’s real,’ and then it isn’t. It’s so fresh. People are saying ‘are you popping the champagne?’ but my version of that is calling people with good news about a job and then making a to-do list.”
Petosky also posted this on twitter in regards to her new show:
I thought when I transitioned my career was over. The idea that someone would buy a kid's show from a trans person?! https://t.co/vqhrdNn5Oe

Petosky’s show Danger & Eggs is a twelve minute show aimed at children from ages six through eleven. The lead character is D.D. Danger, a courageous stuntwoman whose cautious friend Phillip (talking egg) does whatever he can to keep her from getting hurt.
Petosky’s name may be familiar to some since back in September on a flight home from LA to Orlando she was pulled out of the screening line at the airport because the Transportation Security Administration said that their imaging device detected something unexpected. Petosky live-tweeted what was happening to her as she was detained and searched.
