The Amazon series The Wilds will be receiving a second season, as announced by The Hollywood Reporter. The news was released via the show’s official Twitter page.
The Wilds surrounds a group of teenage girls whose plane crashes and strands them on a deserted island. As they fight for survival, they discover that their crash was planned and their fate, calculated. The debut season was 10-episodes and was released on December 10 to Amazon Prime Video.
The series hails from Sarah Streicher (Daredevil) with Amy B. Harris (The Carrie Diaries) serving as showrunner and Susanna Fogel (Booksmart) serving as director and executive producer. The Wilds stars Rachel Griffiths (Six Feet Under), Sophia Ali (Uncharted), Jenna Clause (Cold Brook), and Mia Healey in her debut role. The cast revealed news of their renewal on their social media pages on Saturday afternoon.
