Amazon Prime Video Releases New Trailer For ‘The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’

Amazon Prime Video has released a new trailer for their upcoming Lord Of The Rings spinoff series The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power. The series is set to release on the streaming service on September 2nd and the first two episodes of the upcoming show will be available to view in theaters as well.


TV Line gave a description of the upcoming spinoff series: “With the show set during the Second Age, it will tackle several key events from that period, including Sauron’s rise to power; the forging of the Rings of Power, which the Dark Lord gifted to humans, elves and dwarves and secretly controlled with his master ring (aka the One Ring to Rule Them All); the rise and fall of Númenor, the island of men who happen to be Aragorn’s ancestors; and the Last Alliance of Elves and Men, a final stand against Sauron (depicted in the prologue of Peter Jackson’s Fellowship of the Ring).”

The new trailer shows multiple members of the cast including Morfydd Clark (The Call Up), Robert Aramayo (Behind Her Eyes), Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), Charles Edwards (Murder Rooms: Mysteries Of The Real Sherlock Holmes), Markella Kavenagh (My First Summer), Dylan Smith (Maze Runner: The Death Cure), Daniel Weyman (Dead Man’s Folly), Maxim Baldry (Mr. Bean’s Holiday), Ema Horvath (What Lies Below), Lloyd Owen (Monarch Of The Glen), Trystan Gravelle (Making Noise Quietly), Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Always & 4Ever), Peter Mullan (The Magdalene Sisters), Owain Arthur (White Island), Sophia Nomvete (The Tempest), Charlie Vickers (Palm Beach), Nazanin Boniad (How I Met Your Mother), and Ismael Cruz Córdova (Mary Queen Of Scots).
