Amazon Primes has dropped a new red band trailer for the upcoming revival of the sketch comedy series, The Kids in the Hall. The series is set to drop on the streamer on Friday, May 13.
The trailer sees a grave of the original Kids in the Hall being dug up with the five leading men (Dave Foley, Bruce McCullough, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson) seemingly coming back from the dead as Amazon picks up the series. The trailer teases a number of sketches, promising tons of antics and irreverent comedy.
The Kids in the Hall was a Canadian sketch comedy series that aired from 1988 to 1995 featuring the comedy troupe of the same name. The series debuted on HBO and CBC for the first three seasons before moving to CBS. The series ran for five seasons. Some of the series’ recurring sketches include “30 Helens Agree”, “The Axe Murderer”, and “Bauer”.
Amazon Prime revived the series for a sixth season, which is set to have eight episodes, back in March 2020. The sixth season will be a continuation of the original show, rather than a reboot, and it is said to be Amazon Prime’s first Canadian original series.
The Kids in the Hall is set to debut on May 13. Check out the trailer below.
