Amanda Bynes Announces Shes “Going to Start Acting Again”

In a rare interview former child-star Amanda Bynes gave with Hollyscoop, revealed more level and refreshed Bynes who says shes interested in returning to the small screen after being sober for three years. “I do miss acting and I actually have something surprising to tell you, I’m going to start acting again,” Bynes confirmed in the YouTube interview. “I want to do TV, maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of, and maybe another TV show where I’m the star of it, in the future. That’s what I hope.”

The star was then questioned about an obscene tweet to Drake that got her in hot water in the past, leading her to admit she wasn’t herself at the time, saying, “I was serious [about the tweet] but I was also on drugs.”

Bynes, 31, got her start by acting in television commercials, then solidifying a role on Nickelodeon’s 90’s sketch-comedy show All That. Nick then gave the star her own spin-off, known as The Amanda Show, where Bynes found success and later had been offered to star in the WB’s prime-time series What I Like About You. After appearing in multiple films, Bynes announced in 2010 her plans to retire from acting all-together, “I don’t love acting anymore so I’ve stopped doing it.”

In 2012, the child-star was arrested for a string of hit-and-runs and a DUI. In 2013, several media outlets reported the star to be unwell for bizarre behavior often caught on film, then leading to her arrest over starting fire in a stranger’s driveway near her childhood home in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Bynes’ mother was granted temporary conservator-ship over the star’s finances and medical care. Entertainment Weekly released a timeline of the star’s controversy since 2012. Since then, Bynes had kept a relatively low profile, Fox News reports.

Now that Bynes is doing well, fans are speculating where her return to acting will be on the small screen – having ranked high against fellow child-stars Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff, we’re hoping for a comeback that leaves viewers laughing-out-loud.
