ALICE IN BORDERLAND S2
The epic live-action adaptation of the hit manga by Haro Aso – where young people are forced to take on games in order to survive in the mysterious world of the Borderland- is coming back for a second season!— Netflix Geeked (@NetflixGeeked) November 30, 2021
Alice In Borderland is a live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name created by Haro Aso. The show features the story of three young men living in Tokyo accidentally enter a mysterious parallel universe. They suddenly find out that the new world is far from the utopia. Every person needs to play multiple malicious games to survive, while anyone could die when playing these games. The second season will continue the story from the end of season one, and fans are likely to see more sinister games.
While this 2020 show is already popular, the 2021 phenomenal hit series, Squid Game, boosted Alice In Wonderland even more, via Variety. Despite little similarities between the two, Squid Game introduces many new audiences to death game series like Alice In Wonderland. The show “landed back in the top ten series ranking in more than fifty countries around the world, more than nine months after its initial launch.” It’s likely that season two of Alice will aim for global viewers.
The two leading actors of the series are Kento Yamazaki (Death Note) and Tao Tsuchiya (Food Luck). Kaata Sakamoto (The Naked Director) serves as the executive producer, and Shinsuke Sato (Kingdom) serves as the director.
