According to AMC Networks, the casting for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been released. The cast will include Alexandra Masangkay (Code Name Emperor, Valley of Shadows), Eduardo Noriega (You Cannot Hide, Thesis) and Oscar Jaenada (The Losers, Cantinflas) as recurring characters. Other cast members include Hugo Arbues (Through My Window, The Warning), Candela Saitta (Maxima) and more actors who will represent regular characters.
The details were disclosed via FesTVal, an annual television festival celebrated in Vitoria, Spain.
The filming of the third season will be set in Madrid, and places such as Aragon, Catalonia, Galicia and Valencia will be the locations for shooting to provide the dystopian feel. Production on the season is already underway before the series’ season two debut September 29 in the U.S. and October 4 in Spain.
Season three is the continuation of Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier’s journey back home and to their loved ones. When struggling to discover their road back, a fresh route leads them to peculiar and vigorous environments as they observe developments in the Walker apocalypse.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s season three will premiere in 2025. The series is executively produced by showrunner David Zabel (Betrayal!, Lucky 7), Angela Kang (The Walking Dead, Terriers), Brian Brockrath (The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, The Walking Dead: Dead City), Dan Percival (Dirty War, The State Within), Greg Nicotero (Day Of The Dead, From Dusk Till Dawn), Jason Richman (Bad Company, Detroit 1-8-7), Scott M. Gimple (Fillmore, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) and Steve Squillante (Locke, Hummingbird). Jesus De La Vega (Intruders, Hierro) and Silvia Araez (We Are The Lucky Ones, Archie) are joining the executive producer team this season.
Masangkay is a Spanish actress who first appeared on screen in 1898: The Last of the Philippines. She has also acted in movies such as Código Emperador, The Platform and Valley of Shadows. Saitta is an Argentine actress who was nominated for Best Actress in the Produ Awards. Noriega is a Spanish actor who was nominated for Best Actor in Goya Awards twice. Arbues’ movie appearances include Through My Window, Amor y vida, and Cathedral of The Sea. Jaenada is a well-known actor who won a Platino Award for Best Actor for the movie Cantinflas.
