Alec Baldwin is set to host National Geographic channel’s A Night of Exploration series. The program, which began in January, follows trailblazers who have made discoveries around the world: each episode focuses on a different explorer and location.
Baldwin will narrate the series beginning June 14 at 8 PM. He has done voiceover work in the past, including NatGeo’s Great Migrations series. With “the perfect combination of energy and gravitas,” National Geographic CEO David Lyle sounds enthusiastic about his contribution to the program.
His first episode will be “Crossing the Ice,” which documents a pair of Australian explorers traveling from the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole. Upcoming episodes like “Secrets of the Lost Gold” and “Waking the Baby Mammoth” will explore locations from the Arctic to the Amazon, and are sure to cover intriguing new ground.
A Night of Exploration will air Fridays throughout the summer.
