Time to gear up for this one.
Alec Baldwin, notorious funny guy, has lately been in the news for his iconic portrayal of President Trump. The performances have been a sharp-tongued roast of the politician, but The Wrap reported that now the tables have turned on Baldwin as he receives a roast of his own.
One Night Only: Alec Baldwin is Spike TV’s version of Comedy Central’s roasts. The event will be black tie, so famous friends and comedians will be dressed to the nines while dressing down Alec Baldwin. While no guests have been confirmed yet, One Night Only has had noteworthy guests before. Previous recipients of the One Night Only honor include Eddie Murphy and Don Rickles.
During the course of the night, Baldwin will be honored/ridiculed for the body of his work, from his film contributions to his roles in 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live. Baldwin released a teasing statement about the special, saying, “I am dreading this. I am truly dreading this. But if Tracy Morgan is coming, it’ll be okay. Is Tracy coming?”
The show tapes at the World Famous Apollo Theater on June 5th, but all answers will be revealed on Sunday, July 9th as it airs on Spike TV. Who will be there? And what could possibly be off-limits?
