Lucasfilm’s TV series Ahsoka will return for a second season in 2026, and a recent Star Wars Celebration event in Japan gave fans an exciting glimpse into what’s ahead.

According to a Disney+ press release, the event featured a star-studded panel with Dave Filoni (Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian), Jon Favreau (Chef, Iron Man), Rosario Dawson (Daredevil, Trance), and Hayden Christensen (Revenge of the Sith, Attack of the Clones).

During the panel, attendees were shown previously unreleased behind-the-scenes photos from Season 1 and an early look at production images from Season 2.

It was also announced that the character Baylan Skoll will now be portrayed by Rory McCann (Game of Thrones, Jumanji: The Next Level). The role was originally introduced in Season 1 and played by the late Ray Stevenson (Punisher: War Zone, Kill the Irishman).

At the end of the panel, fans were treated to an early preview of concept art hinting at what’s to come in Season 2, which is set to begin filming next week.

Season 1 follows the journey of retired Jedi Ahsoka Tano, played by Dawson, as she fights to stop a growing galactic threat. Christensen reprises his role as Anakin Skywalker. The cast also includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Voyeurs, Day Shift), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Final Destination 3), Ivanna Sakhno (Let It Snow, The Spy Who Dumped Me), Dave Filoni, and David Tennant (Doctor Who, Good Omens).

Set within the same timeline as The Mandalorian, the series features recurring characters from Star Wars Rebels.

According to ScreenRant, Season 2 will introduce new characters featured in the concept art trailer. The artwork also confirmed the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a key figure in the Imperial Remnant and expected to be a major force in the upcoming season. Details on exact release dates and any other casting changes have yet to be released.
