According to Screenrant, the biggest mystery to be solved within the series is the identity of Joe Locke’s (Heartstopper) character, currently called Teen, whose strange magic doesn’t allow him to say his true name. The trailer gives a glimpse into Agatha, played by Kathryn Hahn (Bad Mom), and her convent, who have properly summoned the door to walk the Witches’ Road and are now facing unknown trials that they will have to overcome. We also get to see footage of future episodes; in one scene, we see the witches powering up Agatha to fight an unknown opponent.
According to Screenrant, even since Teen’s grand MCU debut in the first two episodes, Phase Five has been dropping subtle hints on where he will be placed in Agatha’s coven. Fans will get to see more of Teen’s magical prowess in the upcoming episode and likely more detail on his true identity. There have been numerous theories within the Marvel community that Teen is a grown-up version of Billy Maximoff, who was seen back in Wandavision and played by Julian Hilliard (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It), which has aided in numerous international marketing materials.
According to Screenrant, whether the theory behind Locke being a version of Billy is true, which could also signal the return of the Scarlet Witch in the series, remains to be seen. While waiting for the third episode to be released on September 25, the two episodes of the magic drama series are available to stream on Disney+.
