Aesirs On The Rise: Prime Video’s ‘God Of War’ Series Adds New Gods To The Growing Roster

New information have arises regarding on the release of the live-action God of War series, in which new names announced that will be joining the every growing cast. Reported by Comicbook, the main plot of the series will follows the 2018 game of the same name, in which the father-son duo of Kratos, played Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead) and his son, Atreus, played by Callum Vinson (Oak, Coup!) traversing the nine realms to spread the ashes of their late wife/mother, Faye at the highest peak. Along the way, the duo will encounter godly forces in which they need to overcome to complete their quest.

Sated by Comicbook,  the new names announced will be the children of Thor, played by  Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (NOS4A2, The Deep) And Lady Sif played Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies, I Am Number Four) as Lady Sif. The characters will be Louis Cunningham (Bridgerton, Pillow Talk) as the curios Modi, Ben Chapple as Magni and lastly, Thrud played by Island Austin (Within, Insidious: The Bleeding World).

According to interview with Comicbook, the franchise’s creator, David Jaffe (Twisted Metal, Mickey Mania) give his own thoughts on the project,  “I’m sure everybody’s trying real hard, [but] it’s so dumb. But let’s be incredibly clear, okay? Two things can be true. This can be a terrible image, and it is. It’s so bad in so many ways, which we’ll talk about in a moment. And Ron Moore is awesome, who is the showrunner… This guy is a juggernaut of a talented fellow. I have absolutely no doubt it is going to be a good show.”

At the moment, the God of War series has currently started production, and no further information has been revealed on its release date, but it is rumored for late 2027. With Amazon Studios at the helm of the project, the series will surely be a big hit and be amongst other related game-based shows such as Fallout.
