Adult Swim has given the live-action comedy series, Childrens Hospital, a greenlight for a sixth season.
Childrens Hospital is a two-time Emmy winning series. It will begin filming in Los Angeles during the summer. The series explores the struggles and sexual politics of a group of doctors with very healthy libidos. They are fixated on their personal lives with an occasional interruption when they must treat sick children.
Abominable Pictures produces Childrens Hospital. Rob Corddy (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) created and executive produces the series. Also on the team are executive producers/writers Jonathan Stern (NTFS:SD:SUV) and David Wain (Role Models).
“We’re placing the Childrens gang safely back in their hospital next season, having spent last season in Japan, so fans can expect the kind of tomfoolery that endeared them to Childrens Hospital back when they were youngsters,” said Corddry. “Stuff like absurdity, flights of fancy, hard-hitting fake drama, soft-hitting fake drama, farcical door slamming, partial nudity, classical jazz, 70-yard field goals, mustache rides, backwards messages, grooming tips … the whole shebang.”
Childrens Hospital will premiere in 2015 on Adult Swim.
