Actress Marcia Strassman Dies at 66

The lovely actress Marcia Strassman, seen in Welcome Back, Kotter and Honey I Strunk the Kids, has died at age 66 of breast cancer.

The actress’ death was confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter by her friend, director Bob Weide.

Strassman scored her first major acting gig playing a nurse on the hit series M*A*S*H. After this, she landed a co-starring role of Julie Kotter on the ABC’s Welcome Back, Kotter in 1975, playing the title character’s wife. The series lasted four seasons.

After appearing later on several other series, including The Love Boat, The Rockford Files, Tremors, Third Watch, and Magnum, P.I., she was a lead on 21 Jump Street spinoff Booker, which lasted one season. Her most notable role was as Rick Moranis’ wife in the 1989 hit Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
