CNN reports that supermodel and actress Dayle Haddon (Substitute Teacher, Sex with a Smile) has passed away at 76 due to an alleged carbon monoxide leak on Friday in Solebury, Pennsylvania. The information was revealed via the authorities.
The Solebury Township Police Department website states that Haddon “was discovered deceased in a second-floor bedroom” of a residence’s “detached office/in-law suite” on Friday morning. Walter J. Blucas was additionally found “lying down, passed out.” The website reveals he is “currently hospitalized in critical condition.” Blucas is the father of Marc Blucas (My Life with the Walter Boys, A Christmas…Present) and is 76. He is currently at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment. The initial announcement was on December 27 at 6:31am and was updated a day later at noon.
Haddon’s daughter Ryan commented on her mother’s passing via an Instagram post. She mentions her as “a woman in her power, yet soft and attentive to all. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful.”
The post included her work as a model and a picture of her book that was published in 2003, “The Five Principles of Ageless Living.”
As stated by the website, the police investigation “indicates a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak.”
The statement ended by saying, “The officers and members of the Solebury Township Police Department wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Haddon and Blucas families. This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of carbon monoxide safety precautions in our homes.”
CNN states that Haddon was a model for Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and more. He was also an actress in the ‘70s and ‘80s for movies and TV shows. She starred in various treasures such as Max Headroom, North Dallas Forty and The Hitchhiker.
