Actress And Comedian Victoria Jackson Reveals Cancer Diagnosis With Inoperable Tumor

Actress and comedian Victoria Jackson (Saturday Night Live, Ocean Ave.) revealed she is battling an inoperable tumor that is lodged in her windpipe, according to Deadline. Jackson was a staple on Saturday Night Live during her run on the show from 1986 to 1992. Featured on 109 episodes, she succeeded in her impressions of Sally Struthers (All in the Family, Gilmore Girls), Roseanne Barr (She-Devil, Roseanne) and Zsa Zsa Gabor (Queen of Outer Space, A Very Brady Sequel), as well as appearances as herself on Weekend Update segments.

Jackson is a fighter, having battled breast cancer before, but commented on her new diagnosis saying, “They cannot operate and cut out the marble in my chest that is laying on my windpipe, and eventually would suffocate me to death,” in her candid reveal as per Deadline

While an alarming diagnosis, Jackson shared her ongoing treatment: “They’re giving me a magic pill. It’s going to be delivered to my front door within the next 12 hours. It’s based on Ribociclib, and it will shrink the marble, hopefully” via Deadline. Jackson continued by speculating her prognosis, saying, “I looked up the pill on Google and it says people who take this have 32.6 months to live — something like that.”

According to Deadline, the New England Journal of Medicine lists the medication, Robociclib, as providing patients who experienced breast cancer a better overall survival benefit.

After sharing the news, Jackson had some important reflections. Jackson boasted about her fantastic life before sharing what she still wishes to see. “I’d like to see my grandson born — his name is Jimmy — in October and get to know [him] a little and I would like to see my daughter Aubrey have a baby” via Deadline.

Back in 2016, Jackson revealed she was battling breast cancer, according to Deadline. On August 13, 2024, Jackson posted video to Instagram showing herself at the hospital, readying herself for a CT scan.
