The actor and producer Nick Pasqual has been extradited. According to Deadline, the actor, known for his work on How I Met Your Mother and Archive 81, is on the way from Texas to Los Angeles. He also has pleaded not guilty of the alleged attempted murder of his girlfriend.
The actor allegedly left his girlfriend critically injured after allegedly stabbing her multiple times. This came after he had allegedly broken into her house in the neighborhood of Sunland in Los Angeles. The incident, which according to prosecutors, occurred on May 23 and happened around 4:30 in the morning. Afterwards, the girlfriend, who is makeup artist Allie Shehorn known for her work on the most recent adaptation of Mean Girls, and the critically acclaimed Babylon, was allegedly left critically injured and due to the attack had to be hospitalized. Pasqual allegedly ran from the scene and allegedly eventually fled the state until he was detained at a Border Patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
According to Deadline, Pasqual has “been charged with one count each of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent.” After the actor decided to allegedly go on the run after the alleged attack, a warrant for his arrest was issued.
This past Thursday, June 13, the actor pleaded not guilty in his courtroom trial. The plea came after he had just landed in LAX only a single day earlier. He then was ordered to be held without bail. Pasquale will be held until his next court date which is set to be on June 16. According to Deadline, the prosecutors on the case said that there is a possibility that he will be serving a maximum possible sentence of life in state prison if convicted. This however will only happen if he is convinced of all charges.
