According to TVLine, FBI star Jeremy Sisto (The Gospel of Marc, Kids Like You & Me) will be guest starring in the premiere of the FBI spinoff, CIA. Sisto stars as the character Assistant Special Agent Jubal Valentine. The series premeire is written by Mike Weiss (The Hunting Wives, Death and Other Details) and directed by Ken Girotti (Law & Order: Organzed Crime, FBI: Most Wanted). After going through two showrunners and the network cancelling two shows to make room for CSI, the series premiere is scheduled to air on CBS on February 23 at 10 p.pm ET/9 p.m. CST.
TVLine mentions Sisto will be starring along side Necar Zedegan (All The World, Last Man Standing) and Natalee Linez (Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Blood, Beach, Betrayal), as well as series leads Tom Ellis (The Thursday Murder Club, Washington Black) and Nick Gehlfuss (The Mystery of Matter: Search for teh Elements)
TVLine notes that the premiere episode is titled “Directed Energy” and is about FBI Agent Goodman and CIA Agent Glass, being paired together in a partnership after a top-secret weapon is stolen from a U.S. defense contractor. The two new partners get off on a rocky start but soon realize that their greatest assets are difference in opinions.
TVLine reports that the show’s official synopsis is, “When by-the-book FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman (Gehlfuss) is loaned out to a clandestine CIA/FBI task force, he finds himself teamed up with secretive and roguish CIA case officer Colin Glass (Ellis). Together they will work covert operations in New York, uncovering international plots, terrorist cells, and geopolitical secrets. On CIA, Bill will learn the rules of this murky world on the fly as Colin leads him deeper into spy games where only one thing is clear — their work keeps America safe, even if no one will ever know what they did in the shadows.”
