Actor Brian Tarantina Passes Away at 60

People are mourning the dead for actor Brian Tarantina known for his roles in the television series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the 1990 film Jacob’s Ladder was pronounced dead on Saturday, November 2nd.

Brian Tarantina played Jackie on Amazon Prime’s Original Series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, was found dead in his New York Apartment on West 51st street in Manhattan early Saturday morning. Rumors about his death are suspected by media outlets to be an overdose. But according to USA Today, Tarantina’s representative confirmed that the details pertaining to the actor’s death are still unknown as medical examiner is still working on a cause of death. However, the actor was actively recovering from severe health issues that are heart related and had come about several months before his passing. Tarantina’s niece, was the person who initial found him and called the proper authorities. When paramedics arrived, they found Tarantina on his couch unconscious and pronounced him dead at the scene, Tarantina was 60 years old, Taratina was reportingly at home getting better because he had just recently felt ill.

Colleagues and admires alike are mourning the death of the beloved actor. His co-star Rachel Brosnahan the lead in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel series posted on Instagram (below) and offered a few kind words about Taratina’s character and how the cast and crew of the Maisel will miss him dearly and things “won’t be the same without him”.

Brian Tarantina was born and raised in New York City, New York on March 27, 1959 and has been in the acting business for approximately 30 years with his first big break in minor role as Roger Coswell in the 1989 John Hughes’s film, Uncle Buck starring John Candy, Jean Louisa Kelly and Macaulay Culkin. Tarantina also has a very extensive filmography that extends into films and television shows including but not limited to Gilmore Girls, The Kitchen, and Summer of Sam. With appearance roles in Blue Bloods, Madam Secretary, The Blacklist, Person of Interest and many more.
