ABC Releases ‘The Wonder Years’ Trailer

Among the several recently released first-looks at upcoming ABC shows, the network released the first official trailer for the reboot of the 1980s classic The Wonder Years, according to The Hollywood ReporterThe Wonder Years first debuted in 1988 and starred Fred Savage (Little Monsters), Danica McKellar (Crown for Christmas), John Saviano (The Wrong Guys), and Dan Lauria (Sullivan & Son).

In a modern take of everyone’s favorite coming of age story, The Wonder Years reboot will look back at a Black middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama in the 1960s through the eyes of 12-year-old Dean. With his imaginative vision of his wonder years in such a turbulent time of American history, Dean recollects his family’s time spent in the south. The series stars Don Cheadle (Iron Man), narrating as Adult Dean Williams, Elisha Williams (Henry Danger) as Dean, and Dulé Hill (Psych) as Bill Williams.

ABC also recently released trailers for fellow new series Maggie, Queens, and Abbott Elementary. The long-awaited trailer for the upcoming The Wonder Years reboot can be viewed below.
