ABC Releases Teaser For ‘Abbott Elementary’ Season Three

Created by Quinta Brunson (Cars on the Road, A Black Lady Sketch Show), Abbott Elementary debuted on ABC in 2021. In November, it was revealed that the third season will premiere on ABC on February 7th, 2024. According to Comicbook.com, in anticipation of this release date, ABC has released a teaser for season three.

Abbott Elementary revolves around a group of teachers who work at an elementary school in Philadelphia. The cast includes Brunson as Janine, Tyler James Williams (Let It Shine, Everybody Hates Chris) as Gregory, Lisa Ann Walter (The Parent Trap, Shall We Dance?) as Melissa, Chris Perfetti (The Surrogate, Crossbones) as Jacob, Sheryl Lee Ralph (Moesha, Instant Mom) as Barbara, Janelle James (The Final Straw, Central Park) as Ava, William Stanford Davis (Across the Hall, Please Stand By) as custodian Mr. Johnson, and more.

In 2022, Abbott Elementary won three Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Casting For A Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing For A Comedy Series, and Ralph won Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series.

For the 2023 Emmy Awards, which are set to premiere on January 15th, the series and members of the cast are nominated for eight total awards. To name a few, the series is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series as well as Outstanding Contemporary Hairstyling. Williams is nominated for Oustanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series, Brunson is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series, and both James and Ralph are nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series.

In addition to Brunson, executive producers of the series include Randall Einhorn (The Office, Fargo), Justin Halpern (Harley Quinn, Surviving Jack), and Patrick Schumacker (Harley Quinn, Powerless)

Fans can look forward to the return of Abbott Elementary in February. The series premieres on ABC and can also be streamed on Hulu.
