The ABC original series Big Sky has released its first-look trailer, according to Screen Rant. The upcoming thriller series is created by David E. Kelley (Nine Perfect Strangers, Big Little Lies) and is set to include ten episodes in its first season. Currently, the first episode of the series is set to premiere on November 17 on ABC. The series began its filming process in late August and will wrap up in early 2021 before the season concludes. Big Sky is executive produced by the likes of Kelley, Paul McGuigan (Sherlock), C.J. Box (The Highway, Blue Heaven), Ross Fineman (Goliath, Damien), Matthew Gross (Sons of Liberty, Day Break), and others.
Big Sky is based on a set of novels by Box, particularly his 2013 effort in The Highway. The television series will center on a pair of detectives in Cody Hoyt and Cassie Dewell investigate two missing women and a possible kidnapping with Hoyt’s separated wife, an ex-cop in Jenny, assisting the duo. The cast features Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) as Jenny, Kylie Bunbury (Pitch, Brave New World, When They See Us) as Cassie, Ryan Phillippe (Crash, Shooter) as Cody, John Carroll Lynch (American Horror Story, Fargo) as Rick, Brian Geraghty (Flight, Jarhead, The Hurt Locker) as Ronald, Dedee Pfeiffer (Cybill) as Denise, Jade Pettyjohn Little Fires Everywhere() as Grace, and many more.
