ABC Family has unveiled a new teaser for the upcoming series Ravenswood, setting an eerie mood within the titular town.
A spinoff of the network’s popular Pretty Little Liars, the show features Caleb Rivers (Tyler Blackburn) from the original series as well as a host of new characters who appear throughout the teaser. The Civil Wars’ haunting tune, “The One That Got Away”, scores the clip as the five central players find themselves drawn to the town’s cemetery by mysterious raven feathers. The words “a curse will fall” appear as the group gathers around a grave and dark feathers rain down upon them.
Starring Nicole Gale Anderson, Brett Dier, Britne Oldford and Merritt Patterson in addition to Blackburn, the show is slated to premiere following the Pretty Little Liars Halloween special October 22.
In related news, the Hollywood Reporter recently announced that Justin Bruening has been cast in a recurring role on the new series. He will play Benjamin Price, a “patient, wise and generous” high school teacher. Only time will tell if he is hiding secrets as dark as the rest of Ravenswood’s residents.
