ABC is developing a new comedy similar to Golden Girls, but from the male perspective.
Reported exclusively by Deadline, Dan Fogelman (The Neighbors creator) and Robert Borden (The George Lopez Show co-creator) are creating a show about three long-lost basketball teammates in their 60s that reconnect and learn about love and friendship.
The show is written by Borden. He will executive produce along Fogelman’s Rhode Island Ave. Prods and ABC Studios.
This season has seen film and TV that feature mature stars such as Last Vegas, (Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas and Kevin Kline), American Horror Story: Coven (Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett ), Ender’s Game (Harrison Ford) and All Is Lost (Robert Redford).
