According to Deadline, ABC has just cast Eddie Cibrian (Sunset Beach, Northern Lights) and Daniella Pineda (Cowboy Bebop, Jurassic World: Dominion) as recurring guest star roles for season three of the hit sitcom series, Home Economics. The show follows the lives of three adult siblings each with drastically different financial situations: one upper-class, one middle-class, and one lower-class, as they grapple with longstanding sibling rivalries and struggle to manage with the impossible human task of growing up.
As written by Deadline, Cibrian is set to play the character of Santiago, an attractive and charming contracter who starts working with the unapologetically straightforward Marina, played by Karla Souza (How to Get Away with Murder, Day Shift). Pineda will portray Nikki, an alluring and mysterious woman who Connor, played by Jimmy Tatro (American Vandal, The Wolf of Snow Hollow), attempts to woo and impress.
Home Economics is inspired by the real-life experiences of co-series creator Michael Colton (Best Week Ever, A Futile and Stupid Gesture) and details the awkward yet soul-stirring tale of three siblings each learning to deal with their own emotional and economic problems. The series stars such talents as Topher Grace (That 70’s Show, Spider-Man 3), Caitlin McGee (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Modern Love), and Sasheer Zamata (Spree, The Weekend).
The show is executive produced by series creators Colton and John Aboud (Penguins of Madagascar, The Comeback), alongside Grace, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men, Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas), Jason Wang (The Last O.G., Young and Hungry), Tucker Cawley (Everybody Loves Raymond, Hank), Julieanne Smolinski (Grace & Frankie, United We Fall), and Victor Nelli Jr. (The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine).
