The two actors will star on Syfy’s TV adaptation of 12 Monkeys, says EW.
Aaron Stanford (Nikita) and Amanda Schull (Pretty Little Liars, Suits) just landed the leading roles on Syfy’s 12 Monkeys.
The show is based on the 1995 classic hit film with the same name, starring Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt and Madeleine Stowe.
Its plot revolves around a man who travels back in time to find the source of a lethal virus which threatens to end all humankind.
Aaron Stanford will play James Cole, “a desperate and haunted man from the near future, who travels to the present day to stop a deadly plague from being released on the world.”
Schull will play Cassandra Railly, “a brilliant doctor who is forced to choose between her idyllic life or joining Cole’s mission to uncover the dangerous conspiracy.”
The script was written by Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett and co-executive produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle.
