The highly anticipated second season of Netflix’s hit series, Wednesday, has just released a first-look teaser into the upcoming journey of the titled charactered. According to Hollywood Reporter,  fans will see the return of Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega (Death of a Unicorn, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), who returns for another year at Nevermore Academy and must solve another mystery.  

According to Hollywood Reporter, the teaser opens with the Addams Family returning and dropping off Wednesday from the trip mentioned in the season one finale. Fans will surely get the answers behind the mysterious messages and photos that Wednesday received at the season finale. Later in the teased trailer, we witness Wednesday captured and locked up in a room filled with a variety of dolls. It is also revealed that Wednesday will encounter Tyler in his Hyde form.

According to Hollywood Reporter, other returning members alongside Jenna will include Emma Myers (A Minecraft Movie, Family Switch) as Enid, Hunter Doohan (Soundwave, Daredevil: Born Again) as Tyler and Joy Sunday (The Beta Test, Dog) as Bianca. The upcoming season as well will showcase new faces, which includes Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Mission Impossible 2), and Haley Joel Osment (Blink Twice, The Sixth Sense).

According to Hollywood Reporter, when the first season of the series aired it had garnered around 252 million views, and on the top ten shows list for week.. The series creators, Al Gough (The Shannara Chronicles, I Am Number Four) and Miles Millar (Into the Badlands, Smallville) stated about the upcoming season,”We are thrilled that the entire Addams family will be enrolling in Nevermore Academy this season along with a dream cast of icons and new faces”.

While fans await on the release of the second season, the entire first of Wednesday is available to stream on Netflix.
