A First Look At ‘Over The Garden Wall’ 10th Anniversary Special Has Been Released

Cartoon Network has released official images and more details about the 10th anniversary special for the cult classic animated series Over the Garden Wall, according to ComicBook. The special was announced last month, with many details being kept under wraps

Even though the original miniseries premiered in 2014, it has only become increasingly popular every year. Longtime fans and new viewers flock to streamers to try to watch the fall classic. With the 10th anniversary soon approaching, Cartoon Network and Aardman Animation collaborated to create a new installment to the series.

According to a recent post from Cartoon Network on X, the 10th anniversary special will be a two-minute stop-motion animated short available on YouTube.

With the original teaser showcasing the iconic look of claymation that is associated with Aardman Animation’s most popular works, many fans were hoping that the series would receive the same claymation treatment – and fans can rest easy knowing that the spooky world of Over the Garden Wall will soon be put to clay

As far as the plot of the short goes, ComicBook stated, “the first look at this new special is teasing a return from Wirt and Greg as they find themselves over the titular garden wall once more.” The short will be in collaboration with the series creator Patrick McHale, who has expressed his excitement towards the return to the world via X.

Fans have shown their love for this new project across social media. They are excited to see Wirt and Greg return to their screens and with the hauntingly beautiful animation style of claymation nonetheless.

For those who have not already seen the miniseries and want to tune in for the 10th anniversary special, all 10 episodes are available to stream on Hulu.
