According to TVLine, The Walking Dead concluded its story but its spinoff is still alive and kicking. Norman Reedus’ (From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, Ride With Norman Reedus) The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, with three current seasons, with the most recent one continuing Dixon’s adventure in Europe, carries the post-apocalyptic torch for The Walking Dead. Although having many individuals in the cast, the series introduced some memorable characters of its own.
As per TVLine, the memorable characters include Romain Levi’s (Treasure Hunter: On the Tracks of Khufu, Turn Back) Stéphane Codron, who really stood out during the first season as an antagonist. He starts in the series on a much darker tone as a tougher version of Daryl but evolves into the kind of surprisingly likable character. *Spoiler ahead * Although the character met their end in the series, an episode in the third season reveals that the character might still be alive and kicking.
“That actor, Romain Levi, is great,” Reedus said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “He texts me all the time, like, ‘Oh my God, thank you so much! This is great!’ He’s really enthusiastic and really appreciative. They were going to kill him off and I was like, ‘Come on, we got to keep him!’ He’s got a really meaningful storyline coming up and he’s just a cool guy.”
According to TVLine, Reedus stated that Levi plays the Role of Codron terrifically. The two actors have a connection that they didn’t even know about, as it turns out, Reedus knew Levi’s sister years ago, before he was cast in the series.”It’s crazy because I was friends with his sister a million years ago through former partner Helena Christensen,” Reedus told Entertainment Weekly. “She ended up texting me and telling me, ‘Hey, my brother is up for a part in your show.’ And I’m like, ‘Who’s your brother?’ And he had already gotten the part and I’m like, ‘He’s in!’ Everything kind of synced up really well with him. He’s a great guy.”
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is available to stream on Netflix and AMC.
