The galaxy of the popular Star Wars franchise continues to evolve and grow with every new installment added, the latest one being LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. According to Comicbook, the plot of the series focuses on the journey of Sig Greebling, voiced by Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things, My Father’s Dragon), who uncovers a mysterious object known as the cornerstone, which transports him into various multiverses. The Lego series has taken a creative route and shine the light on lesser-known characters within the franchise, with one being hated by George Lucas (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Rogue One).
Comicbook states, the character in question is Jaxxon T. Tumperakki, voiced by Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog, The Afterparty), whose appearance is that of a green rabbit, made his appearance in the eighth issue of the classic Star Wars comic. Jaxxon was stated to be an associate of Han Solo and Chewbacca. In one scenario, the duo asks for his help to protect the village from a group of thugs.
Comicbook reports, the reason of why Lucas detests the character was that he came off as too goofy and received mocking worldwide. Jaxxon wasn’t going to stay hidden forever, as he returned in the second part of the lego series, in which Sig and his brother, Darth Dev, voiced by Tony Revolori (Ghosts of Ruin, Monster High) encounter him in the secret realm, which holds discarded pieces from different galaxies.
According to Comicbook, it might have taken a long time, but it seems that the quick-witted Jaaxon finally found a place in the galaxy where he belongs. The future seasons of the animated sci-fi series could potentially introduce fans of the franchise to other characters that were previously cut from the story. All episodes of the first and second part of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy are available to stream on Disney+.
