20th Century Fox Television’s Senior Vice President Chloe Dan Steps Down

According to Deadline, Chole Dan the Senior Vice President of Drama Development at 20th Century Fox Television is stepping down after holding the position for two years. Dan was promoted from Vice President to Senior Vice President of Drama Development back in 2017. She joined 20th Century Fox Television back in 2014 from DreamWorks Studios where she worked as a feature executive.

Dan is said to be leaving on good terms with the studio. Her exit has nothing to do with the recent executive shakeup that went down at Disney TV Studios earlier this week. According to Variety, Disney TV Studios, which now oversees ABC Studios and 20th Century TV are trying to infuse new blood into the studios. This past Wednesday Disney Television Studios named 20th Century TV’s Jonnie Davis as the new president of ABC Studios, replacing Patrick Moran, after the Disney-Fox merger. Carolyn Cassidy was then promoted from Executive Vice President to Davis’ old position as President of Creative Affairs at 20th Century Fox Television, and now will run the studio with the current president of business operations, Howard Kurtzman.

Dan stated, “I’m grateful to everyone at TCFTV for allowing me the opportunity to grow and lead the drama team. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished and while I loved the home here at TCFTV, I’m excited to tackle new challenges. I’ve learned so much from Dana, Jonnie, Terence and really everyone at this company, and I’m really looking forward to the next chapter of my career.”

Dan’s role as Senior Vice President allowed her to work on shows such as This Is Us, The Resident, and 9-1-1 as well as work on the upcoming shows Filthy Rich and neXt. She also worked to develop numerous shows for Fox including The Passage, Proven Innocent, The Gifted, Pitch, 24 Legacy, and Minority Report.

No replacement for Dan has been named yet.

Reisz Davis: Reisz Davis is an upcoming junior at Chapman University getting her B.F.A. in Television Writing and Production. She loves all aspects of television and wants to continue working in it. Right now she is aiming to produce her own show, and she believes there is no better way to learn about it than to write about it. She loves animals, reading, writing, and of course watching television either alone or with friends.
