The 2018 Emmy Awards have just ended, and the list of winners is here! But…first of all, what a show! A marriage proposal, opening musical number, and guest appearance by Betty White were only a few of the shining moments that occurred throughout the three-hour program. Colin Jost and Michael Che, typically the host of SNL’s Weekend Update, but this time heading the program they claimed was being watched by “hundreds”, were certainly well prepared (unlike their go-to advisers Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph), with snarky one-liners and relevant jokes abounding! Their performance was only further supported by the great lineup of nominees this year, which included writers, actors, and directors who all helped to define the past year of television.
