Per Deadline, Hulu has released the first trailer for Paradise, an upcoming drama series by Dan Fogelman (This Is Us, Pitch). The series stars Sterling K. Brown (Invincible, Solar Opposites) as the lead of the Secret Service detail charged with protecting the President, portrayed by James Marsden (Jury Duty, Party Down).
Up until this point, the premise of Fogelman’s new drama has been kept under firm wraps. Hulu is finally sharing a logline, which suggests a very twisty premise: “Paradise is set in a serene, wealthy community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.”
In the Paradise trailer, Brown is revealed to be playing Xavier Collins, head of security for President Cal Bradford. When the President winds up dead, Xavier is identified as the last person to see him alive, making him a vulnerable target for the chaos and violence set to come.
The cast includes Julianne Nicholson (Mare of Easttown, The Outsider), Sarah Shahi (Judgement, Sex/Life), Nicole Brydon Bloom (The Gilded Age, The Affair), Michelle Meredith (Doctor Odyssey, Earth Girl), Cassidy Freeman (The Righteous Gemstones, Longmire), Gerald McRaney (Duncanville, Filthy Production), Krys Marshall (Bad Monkey, For All Mankind), Charlie Evans (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay) and Jon Beavers (Fair Play).
Paradise will premiere on Hulu on January 28, 2025. The series, a 20th Television production, is executive produced by Fogelman, Brown, Jess Rosenthal (Only Murders in the Building, The King of 7B), John Hoberg (American Housewife, Downward Dog), John Requa (WeCrashed, Patriot), Glenn Ficarra (Rabbit Hole, Next) and Steve Beers (Tracker, Prison Break).
