According to TVLine, Harriet Sansom Harris (American Horror Story, Desperate Housewives) is confirmed to reprise her role as the shameless agent, Bebe Glazer, in season two of Paramount+’s revival of Frasier. Other casting announcements have similarly been revealed.

In addition to Harris, TVLine reports Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The School for Good and Evil) will join the second season as Phoebe, Glazer’s daughter.

According to TVLine, Harris appeared in 11 episodes as the cutthroat agent who went to great lengths to ensure Frasier’s career was successful. Official character descriptions portray Phoebe as having her mother’s “indomitable charm” and “taste for finer things.”

The beloved sitcom, which won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series for five consecutive years, was revived by Paramount+ as a sequel series of the same name. The original series, a spinoff of the iconic Boston-based sitcom Cheers, aired from 1993 to 2004, boasting 11 seasons. Paramount+ renewed the series almost twenty years later in 2023. This new Frasier follows the iconic titular psychiatrist and radio show host, Dr. Frasier Crane, portrayed by Kelsey Grammer (Down Periscope, Jesus Revolution), as he returns to Boston decades later to rekindle the relationship with his son.

As reported by TVLine, Harris is not the lone actor returning to the sequel series. Other Frasier alum slated for season two include Peri Gilpen (Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Modern Family) as Roz Doyle, the producer of Frasier’s radio show; Dan Butler (Hey Arnold!, Enemy of the State) as Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe, the macho host of the Gonzo Sports Show; and Edward Hibbert (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 2 Broke Girls) as Gil Chesterton, the host of Restaurant Beat on KACL. The Frasier vets are joined by newcomers Greer Grammer, who will portray Roz’s daughter, Alice; and Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond, Room for Two) as Holly, a bartender and Frasier’s potential love interest after the end of his twenty-year relationship with Charlotte. Heaton reunites with Grammer after starring in the short-lived sitcom, Back to You. 

While the release date of the revival series’ second season is yet to be announced, fans can binge the first season and all eleven seasons of the original series on Paramoun+.
