Who’s ready to get their scare on?! Disney’s Monsters at Work season two guest cast has been revealed. According to Dateline, the series’s executive producer, Kevin Deters, announced the news during this weekend’s New York Comic-Con. He also gave a sneak peek of the season coming in 2024.
Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus, Parks and Recreation) will be coming back as the character Claire Wheeler, Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live, We Bare Bears) as Chet Alexander, and Nathan Fillion (Castle, ABC’s The Rookie) as Johnny Worthington III.
There will be other stars who will make an appearance on the show, such as Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus, 2 Broke Girls), Janelle James (Abbott Elementary, Central Park) and Paula Pell (Saturday Night Live, The Awesomes.)
Several original and iconic characters are returning to the show, such as Billy Crystal (Soap, Liberty’s Kids), who plays Mike Wazowski, and John Goodman (Roseanne, Community), who plays James P Sullivan, aka Sully.
Some other cast members include Henry Winkler (Happy Days, Barry) as Fritz, Mindy Kaling (The Office, Velma) as Val Little and Ben Feldman (Childrens Hospital, Superstore) as Tylor Tuskmon.
Disney also unveiled an exclusive look at Fillion, Moynihan, and Plaza’s scary and furry characters to the conference attendees. Monsters at Work took inspiration from Disney and Pixar’s hit movie Monsters, Inc., which has won an Academy Award.
This series is part of Disney Branded Television and will be executively produced by Disney Television Animation and Deters, a Disney animation veteran and Emmy award-winner. He has also made Wreck-It Ralph and Prep & Landing. It will also be co-produced by Melissa Kurtz, who worked on Planes: Fire & Rescue.
Monsters at Work will also have Steve Wermers-Skelton, another Emmy award-winner who was part of Prep & Landing as its supervising director, and DuckTales writer Colleen Evanson as story editor.
