According to Deadline, Amazon Prime has just added Alona Tal (Hand of God, SEAL Team), Johnny Ray Gill (BrainDead, Underground), and Eloise Mumford (the 50 Shades trilogy, Standing Up, Falling Down) as series regulars for their upcoming espionage thriller show, Cross. They are joined by Aldis Hodge (Black Adam, City on a Hill), who is set to portray the titular character of Alex Cross in this live-action adaptation series based on the beloved James Patterson (Along Came a Spider, Run, Rose, Run) book series of the same name.

For those unaware, Cross is a mind-bending psychological thriller which follows the story of Alex Cross, a detective and forensic psychologist who has the unique ability to get into the minds of both serial killers and their victims, but struggles with his own personal demons following his wife’s horrific murder.
As written by Deadline, Alona Tal will purportedly portray the character of Kayla Craig, a brilliant but acerbic FBI agent with a quick wit who enlists Cross into the bureau before soon developing a romantic attraction to the jaded detective. Gill will play Bobby Trey, a Louisiana native and former police officer who forms a pact with the villainous Ed Ramsey to satisfy his monetary greed. Lastly, Mumford is set to portray Shannon Witmer, a smart and resourceful dreamer who unwittingly becomes entangled with Ed Ramsey and the dangerous, confusing world of criminal espionage.
Ben Watkins (Hand of God, Wu-Tang: An American Saga) will serve as the series showrunner, as well as writer and executive producer alongside Patterson, Hodge, Bill Robinson (Zoo, The Postcard Killings), Jim Dunn (Haven, Crisis), and Sam Ernst (Hand of God, Daredevil) to name just a few.
Amazon has still yet to announce an official release date for Cross.
