In preparation for its early 2023 release on the streaming service, Netflix has released the full-length trailer for its upcoming miniseries Copenhagen Cowboy, according to Deadline. Set to be released on the streaming giant on January 5, 2023, the original miniseries comes from the mind of Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Bronson) and will contain six episodes. In addition to Winding Refn’s involvement, the series will be produced by Christina Bostofte Erritzøe (Solar Dummies), Lene Børglum (The Neon Demon), as well as executive produced by Matthew Newman (Drive), and Liv Corfixen (Only God Forgives).
From the director of the smash hit Drive and writer of Bronson, Copenhagen Cowboy is set to tackle the thriller genre in its miniseries format. The streaming original series will center on its protagonist Miu, portrayed by Angela Bundalovic (The Rain), who has entered a new chapter in her life navigating the criminal underworld of the Danish city as well as counteracting the supernatural occurrences that after afflicting her and her close associates. In addition to Bundalovic’s role, the show’s cast also includes the likes of Zlatko Buric (2012), newcomer Andreas Lykke Jørgensen, Maria Erwolter (1899), Valentina Dejanovic (The Shift), and many more for its streaming run.
The cast of Copenhagen Cowboy brings back some of Winding Refn’s previous collaborators on the Pusher trilogy and also marks his return to production within his home nation after more than a decade. This trailer release follows a teaser that was previously shown to the public back in September after its first release to audiences at the Venice Film Festival.
